A wet and windy Saturday saw the Schlumberger Doubles being won by the pairing of Bruce Crossan and Gary Wiseman by virtue of a better joint back nine score. They had tied with the duo of Lee Carter and Ross MacDougall, after both teams had scored 64 points. Crossan/Wiseman scored 32 for the back nine and Carter/MacDougall 28.
A special mention must go to Johnny Shing who scored the highest individual total of the day with 42 points and must have surely thought the cup would be heading his way, unfortunately his partner could only serve up a score of 21, therefore they finished third on a total of 63.
The April Medal and Senior April Medal were contested on a drier if not still windy Sunday. The April medal was won by Lee Carter with a superb 77, nett 65. Second place went to Michael Grant with an 84, nett 69.
The Senior April Medal was won by Rab Duffin with an 87, nett 69.
The matchplay draws have now been posted up in the locker rooms with first round ties to be played by 16 May 2010.
