Cold Start To 2008 Season

An unseasonal Spring meant that the golf season was a week late in getting started when 16 brave souls turned up to play in the Captain's Challenge last Saturday. Occasional snow showers made conditions difficult but the match was eventually won by Vice Captain Alan Harcus' team who were victorious over Captain Stuart Fox's team by 2.5 points to 1.5.

On Sunday, the Caira Trophy which had already been rescheduled had to be cancelled again and this will now be played this Sunday (13th) and will be a 'play anytime' competition. This Saturday sees the Jock Laurie Trophy being played for and names have to be in by Thursday night for the usual draw.
