We start with congratulations to Jake Constable as he has now won both Junior Open competitions and the Junior Club Championship this year. Another mention also needs to go to Andrew Bain who at only eleven years old has, as a result of his score in the Shetland Janitorial Supplies Open, reduced his handicap to 18. This will now allow him to play in the men’s competitions.
The Fraser Shield, which was postponed earlier in the year, was played on 15 August and this saw Liam Coffey in outstanding form to win with a net score of 53, which saw his handicap reduced from 25 to 20, but on this form his handicap is only going to get lower. Even though there were good scores from Stuart Fraser with a net 64 and Jake Constable with a net 66 no one was going to come near Liam.
