The Sweepstake on the Sunday after the Catain's Challenge was won by Keith Fraser with a steady 35 points.
The following weekend saw the first individual silverware of the season being contested for in the form of the Caira Trophy. The winner with an excellent 81, nett 63 was Jimmy Sales who not only wins the cup but also reduces his handicap to 16, and will surely find himself on the new Handicap Secretary's watch list ! Second with 78, nett 66 was Arthur Williamson and third, with the lowest gross of the day 76, nett 69 was Robbie Jamieson.
On Sunday the Sweepstake was won by David Smith with 37 points, edging out a quartet of players with 33 points.
This past weekend saw the RNLI Sppons being up for grabs. The winner with a 79, nett 66 was Paul Foster showing that all that dog walking hasn't been wasted.
