Notice of AGM - 5th March 2020, 7pm

This year's AGM will be on Thursday 5th March at 7pm in the clubhouse. 

As per our constitution the committee must stand down at the AGM and a new committee elected. Six of the present committee have indicated they are willing to be re-elected so we will require six new members. Assuming these members stay in their current positions we will need to elect new vice chairman, men's captain and vice-captain, ladies captain and vice-captain, and clubhouse convenor.

New guidance on the management of clubs was issued last year by the Scottish Golf Union. The committee have decided to follow these recommendations for 2020 and hope that these changes will attract members to come forward and fill the vacant positions. In short these changes are:

• The business and financial management of the club will be devolved to an executive committee consisting of Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer, Greens Convener, and membership secretary who will meet regularly. The men's captain and vice, ladies captain and vice, junior convener, and clubhouse convener, will have the autonomy, with the support of their sub groups, to run their relevant golf and clubhouse activities.
• The full management committee will be required to approve major decisions so it is envisaged they will meet only 3 or 4 times per year.
• The vacant posts must be filled for the club to operate. If you are interested and would like more info please contact a committee member.
