Junior Update for May

News Posted: 14th June 2010

Jake Constable is the 2010 Junior Shetland Golf Club Champion
Jake Constable has retained the Junior Club Championship with a superb gross score of 79, ten shots clear of the field.  This continues his good form this season, which has seen his handicap reduce from 15 to 11 this year so far.  His good form has also been noted in the men's competitions where he is regularly appearing in the prizes, and where he narrowly missed out on qualifying for the final eight in the knockout stage of the men's club championship.
The May Medal on the 23rd May was played in poor conditions, as frequent showers took their toll on the scores.  The winner on the day was Liam Coffey with an impressive net 66.  This is his second medal competition success this year as he has already won the April Medal.

The June Medal was played on the 6th June in testing conditions and Stuart Fraser won with a net 62 from Liam Coffey in second place with a net 67.

The next competition is the Junior Open 2010, sponsored by BP on Sunday 20 June.
