UHA OPEN a Roaring Success!

The UHA OPEN was played for on Saturday with a fantastic entry of over 70 players.The sun was shining, although there was a fresh southerly wind to contend with.With sunblock applied the players set off to try and get their name on the cup.

The course was in great condition so scoring would be low and so it proved to be with several scores in the upper 30s, but it was to be Steve Lamb who took home the cup with an excellent 40pts but only on a better back nine from Adrian Henderson who also scored 40pts.

With the big entry the sponsors decided to have 4Hcp groups with the winners in each being.

(0-10) 1st George Leask, 2nd Robbie Jamieson, 3rd Dougie MacDonald.

(11-20) 1st Adrian Henderson, 2nd Dougie Wiseman, 3rd Stephen Tulloch.

(21-30) 1st Gordon Keith, 2nd Rosie Sandison, 3rd Thomas Anderson.

(31+) 1st Christine Simpson, 2nd Linda Ruthven, 3rd Mary Stewart.

The spot prizes were well shared out with Bruce Crossan winning nearest the pin in 2 at 8 with an great shot to 61feet.

A superb meal was laid on for after the round so a big thanks to Colin Tulloch for his hard work in the kitchen, and thanks also to Tommy Watt for selling raffle tickets and Stevie T for his usual crack drawing the raffle.
