The 4 male golfers have been finalised for the 2019 edition of the Wilson Cup which takes place in Whalsay this year on June 29th and 30th.
The Dale team, sponsored by Inverlussa Marine Services will be Kieren Fraser, Ramsay Hogg, Robbie Jamieson and Robert Geddes.
Get to know the players below!
Kieren Fraser is the current Club Champion at dale and will be playing in his 4th straight Wilson Cup, which makes him one of the more experienced players in the team, and all this at the tender age of just 19. Runner up to team mate Hogg in Whalsay last season at the 36 Hole Open after 2 excellent rounds from the formidable youngster.
Ramsay Hogg is the Mens Captain for 2018/2019 season. He was the runner up in the Club Championships as he lost out to Kieren in the final last season. Ramsay has some good pedigree in Whalsay having secured his 2nd Whalsay Open in 3 years. Playing in his 3rd Wilson cup and will be hoping to continue his strong partnership with Kieren, where they have a 50% Win ratio against some strong teams.
Robbie 'Twin' Jamieson is returning to the Wilson Cup team for the Dale side having played for both Shetland Golf Club and Whalsay in previous years. Having played numerous times, he lost count at 10 when he ran out of fingers but thinks it could be in the high teens. A member of the old guard who's experience will be invaluable for the whole team.
Robert Geddes will make his debut in the Wilson Cup at the Bonnie Isle as he continues his rise through the local golfing scene. After a strong start to the season which has seen him qualify as top seed in the Club Championships this year. The 2005 Island Games winner has plenty of experience in other sports at a high level, and will have no problems adapting to the matchplay pressures of the Wilson Cup.
