Shetland Golf Club Junior Section

Shetland Golf Club welcomes junior members, and there are coaching sessions and competitions throughout the summer.

If you know of anyone who would be interested in coming to the lessons, please feel free to bring them along.

Coaching sessions - 2023

We will be using the new SGU website for our coaching/development this year

The club  run junior golf coaching sessions on Friday evenings afternoons. Coaching dates for 2022 will be June 23rd to August 11th

Sessions run from 3.00 pm to 5.00pm. Please arrive at the clubhouse at 2.45pm for 3.00pm start.

We have a pool of Level 1 and Level 1 Advanced SGU Club golf coaches. We will be running a rota system based on their availability but we will ensure that a proper development plan is in place for each participant.

We will be using the first 9 holes of the course as well as the practice facilities to deliver the best coaching we can. We're also going the improve the bottom practice area by incorporating a 3-hole course within it's confines, and we plan to run as many fun competitions as we can.

Competitions

All club competitions are held on Sundays. Tee times have been reserved from 1330

All Open competitions will have a single tee time and will be announced prior to the competitions. (Usually 11am)

Shetland Junior Open 2023

The 2023 ENQUEST Junior open will be held on 13th August 2023. Tea times and other arrangements to be advised closer to that date.

The club  now has SAFEGOLF accreditaion from the SGU after a lot of forms/course done by our volunteer coaches
