Visitors are always welcome at Shetland Golf Club.
All Tee Times must be prebooked online before arrival at the course. The online booking system can be accessed here. Bookings open 7 days prior to the date of booking e.g. bookings for Monday opens 8am the previous Monday.
Green fees are payable online by credit or debit card at the time of booking. Our booking system will direct you to the payments page and your booking will only be complete once payment is made.
Junior visitors making a booking start their booking as an adult. Prior to the payments section they must select the relevant junior discount box to reduce the fee to the junior rate.
When you arrive go to the visitor area, which is through the middle door on the ground floor of the clubhouse where you will find score cards and details of how to hire clubs. Payment for hire clubs is by cash or cheque only.
All fees must be paid before play.
Please note that the club is staffed by member volunteers and facilities may not always be open. Please bring balls, tees and such like with you when you visit.
If you require transport to the club we would recommend our scorecard sponsor, Allied Taxies. Call 01595 690069.
Due to our northerly latitude, in the middle of summer it never really gets dark. This means that we can play golf long into the evening and it is even possible to play at midnight if the weather is right. We're sure that you will enjoy the experience of playing golf in the UK's most northerly islands.
Green fees are as follows:
Junior players (under 18) - £10
If you require a weekly or fortnightly ticket e mail treasurer@shetlandgolfclub.co.uk.
Clubs are available to hire for £15 per day (no reductions for part rounds). Pull trolley hire costs £2 per day.
We do not have buggies or electric trolley's for hire. The buggies at the course are privately owned by members.
Guest players who are introduced to the course and accompanied during play by a Shetland Golf Club member are entitled to a concessionary rate of £16 per day for adults or £5 per day for juniors.
Between May and mid-September the club welcomes pre-booked groups, golf society outings and company corporate days. We can cater for a variety of packages on request subject to a non-returnable deposit. Contact us in writing, online or by email.
For help finding the course, a map can be viewed here.
We hold open competitions throughout each summer. Please see the competitions section of thie site for details, and contact us to enquire about entering.
If you plan to visit Shetland we highly recommend that you also play at the Whalsay course. Find out more at www.whalsaygolfclub.com.
