Welcome to our new greenkeeper

Our new greenkeeper, Allyn Sutherland, started working for us early in April. We would like all members to give him a warm welcome to Shetland and Shetland Golf Club. As the growing season gets underway he will be joined by seasonal staff.

Allyn will be a direct employee of SGC and will be line managed by the greens convener, Davie Kirk, and his greens sub group. In order for this management process to work any comments about the course both positive and negative, and suggestions on course management must be done through the greens convener.

Tee Bookings

Shetland Golf Club is now open in accordance with SGU guidelines.

Tee times must be booked in advance.

Members should book using MasterScoreboard.

Visitors should also use the tee booking system.

Job Vacancy - Head Greenkeeper

An opportunity has arisen for Head Greenkeeper at Shetland Golf Club. We are looking for a hard-working, enthusiastic individual for this role. We have a full-time employment contract to offer but for recruitment at this stage of the golf season, we will also consider other contracts; namely a temporary contract for 6 to 8 months, or a contract for services to someone who is self-employed.
